Recovering a Gmail account can be a tricky task but can be done in hassle free way by following some simple steps. Google account recovery can be done by using two ways- Recovery using phone number and recovery using recovery email.

Google account recovery using phone number

Step 1: Go to the Gmail Sign in page using your web browser.

Step 2: Enter your email id.

Step 3: Click on Next.

Step 4: You will be directed to the password page.

Step 5: Click on Forgot password.

Step 6: Now you will be directed to Google account recovery page, More info for the Google recovery page. You will be asked to enter the last password you remember.

Step 7: After entering the last password you remember you will be asked to enter the phone number attached to your mail id.

Step 8: Enter the phone number and click on Send.

Step 9: Check for the verification code.

Step 10: Enter the verification code.

Step 11: Click on Verify.

Step 12: Reset a new password. Try to make a strong password by adding symbols, capital letters and characters.

Step 13: Confirm your password.

Step 14: Now, try logging in with your new password.

Google account recovery using recovery email

Step 1: Use your web browser to go to the Gmail Sign in page.

Step 2: Enter your email id.

Step 3: Click on Next.

Step 4: Click on forgot password.

Step 5: Enter the last password you remember.

Step 6: Click on Try another way.

Step 7: Now you will be directed to the verification page where you need to enter the recovery email id attached to your account and click on Send.

Step 8: Check for the verification code on your recovery email id.

Step 9: Enter the code.

Step 10: Click on Next.

Step 11: Reset a new password. Try to make a strong password by adding symbols, capital letters and characters.

Step 12: Confirm your password and try logging in with your new password.
